Finally, Selvaraghavan's magnum opus is set to hit the screens. A project that has taken close to two years to be made, Selva's 'Aayirathil Oruvan' will hit the screens on July 4 this year.
While many look up to this release as one long pending, industry folks remember it as the day last year when the most successful film of 2008 hit the screens, 'Subramaniyapuram'. That film, directed by Sasikumar too, took more than a year to be made and hit screens after many hurdles, only to be the year's biggest blockbuster.
One hopes that lock too trickles down to 'Aayirathil Oruvan'. The film has Karthi, Andrea and Reema Sen in the lead, and the movie's music, composed by GV Prakash Kumar, is expected to be launched later this month.
The film's audio will be released by none other than Kamal Haasan himself. Kamal, interestingly, had crooned a song for Selva's previous flick, 'Pudhuppettai'. This film is Karthi's second film and has Parthiban playing an important role in it. The movie is said to be a period thriller, and is produced by Dream Valley Corporation.
